In March 2024, the extension line of the Hokuriku Shinkansen welcomed a new milestone, with the starting station at Kanazawa Station in Ishikawa Prefecture and the final station at Tsuruga Station in Fukui Prefecture. The extension of the Shinkansen traverses the two prefectures of Ishikawa and Fukui, allowing visitors to experience more untouched natural scenery of Japan.
